Atlanta Life: Canton St. Downtown Roswell
Downtown Roswell, GA can be described as a combination of hipster, quaint, and naturesque vibes. Roswell is about 25 miles north of the city of Atlanta. The cool thing about Atlanta is that there are tons of surrounding areas with hidden gems. There’s one street in particular where you can find these gems, and that is the infamous, Canton. St. Canton St. has
retail stores, restaurants, and a sprinkle of random small businesses. Roswell isn’t too far from one of my previous Atlanta Life blog posts, American Girl Bistro, so be sure to check that one out too if you’re in the area with your daughter.
One of the small businesses was an apparel store named, TheBilt-House .
The store has clothing, shoes, and super cute accessories. What you might like most about the store besides the products, is the decor! It was almost as though I was sitting in someone’s living room, that I was jealous of, and that just happened to be selling things inside their home.
“If you want to avoid the hustle and bustle in the city of Atlanta, Roswell has great retail and restaurant options.”
Up the street was another personal favorite, Wild Oats & Billy Goats. Wild Oats & Billy Goats in Roswell, GA has custom art pieces, candles, and other home furnishings.
I was even able to snag one of their amazing candles for less than 10 bucks! Their candles are so powerful, you can smell them through the bag on the way home and they haven’t even been lit yet. These are from a handcrafted soy candle company,Uncommon Scents based out of Decatur, GA.
Also on Canton St. is a large Antique and Interior Furnishing Store This store is kind of like if Wayfair and Etsy were parents and had a retail baby that lived in Roswell, GA. Inside you will not only find antiques but tons of custom accessories for yourself and your home by local artisans.
Of course, after all of this walking around Roswell, we (my daughter and I) built up an appetite. So we stopped at Fix Pizzeria, home of the fried pizza.
The pizza was amazing, but what you really have to try are the ….DOUGHNUT HOLES!!
Canton St. in Roswell, GA is a great place to spend a fall afternoon and with everything that they have to offer, make sure you have a few hours to spare to take it all in. Here’s a link to Google maps to check out how far Canton St. is from you, so you can check it out for yourself!

They would LITERALLY have to kick me out of that area every night. I mean, I am a lover of quaint areas, especially ones in larger cities where it feels like you’re in small town USA. The Bilt House and Wild Oats and Billy Goats are going on my must see list!
This looks like such a great place to visit with my family. I love the close community feel. Great restaurants and shopping! You can beat it.
I’ve never been but these photos are gorgeous! Might have to plan a little weekend trip for myself 👀
I lived in Atlanta for four years and never explored the east side of metro Atl. When I move back, I need to head that way and check things out because it seems I’ve missed out on some awesome things.
I love areas like this! I love being able to walk, shop and eat all in one area. The pictures are amazing!
I’ve been to ATL before and I love it there. Roswell looks likes it’s a quaint lil town.
I love going through towns that have an old and familial look and feel to them. Great pictures.
I love exploring little towns and shops like this. They make for such an authentic and pure travel experience. Being a candle connoisseur, I would have copped one of those candles as well!
I live here but never been to Canton St. Downtown Roswell. Looks really nice I need to visit and explore since I am not too far thanks for the review!
All the years I’ve been here, I’ve never gone to Roswell. Looks like I need to hop the highway and make a trip. Love the small town vibe.
I love small off the beaten path shopping options. The couch at the ‘Bilt House’ was calling my name. It’s absolutely fabulous.
I like the boutique; the decor is cute.
I live in Decatur, and I have never been to Downtown Roswell. If I were closer, it looks like somewhere I would love to hangout all the time!
