I went camping quite a bit as a kid and really enjoyed it. Also, when I was in college (the first go round), I worked for 3 months as a Girl Scout leader at a summer camp in Tallahassee, FL . Somehow along the way I forgot how much fun it is to discover and appreciate the simple things in life, nature. This past weekend I teamed up with Go Rving and KOA Campgrounds to take a couple of friends on a road trip to KOA Campgrounds in Cherokee, NC and share with my readers my awesome adventures!Read More
A perfect cheesecake option for kids!!!
I created these treats because my daughter loves cheesecake! However, we all know kids waste so much food! My daughter had a random request for cheesecake but it just didn’t feel right buying a six-year old a big fancy cheesecake. For some reason, this dessert, cheesecake, seems to be dedicated to adults. I personally have never seen a children’s cheesecake. I put a fun spin on it by incorporating Nabisco’s Teddy Grahams for the crust and toppings.Read More
How awesome is this? Two of my favorite things combined, Rosé and a festival! Atlanta’s first rosé picnic is going to be epic, so of course they had to be featured in the Atlanta Life series on the blogRead More
As your kids get older, you aspire them to start valuing experiences versus just things. What better thing to do than to share this aspiration with other children at your child’s birthday party! This year my daughter wanted to share her love for cooking and baking and have a cooking party for her 7th birthday. How exciting?! But where would we find the space to do such a thing with so many children, living in an apartment? Read More
It’s birthday time for my daughter and that means it’s birthday hair time! For her birthday hair, we went to Blo Blow Dry Bar in Buckhead and it was an amazing experience!Read More
I’m back with another post for my Atlanta Life segment on the blog! This category is easily my favorite because I am a visual person (with a hint of auditory, because I don’t need silence to concentrate like most visual learners). What better place to utilize my enhanced sense of vision than at a market place? Krog St. Market to be exact!Read More
Downtown Roswell, GA can be described as a combination of hipster, quaint, and naturesque vibes. Roswell is about 25 miles north of the city of Atlanta. The cool thing about Atlanta is that there are tons of surrounding areas with hidden gems. There’s one street in particular where you can find these gems, and that is the infamous, Canton. St. Canton St. hasRead More
When I go to Miami, it’s typically to the very touristy area of South Beach. However, because I was there on business, which is somewhat of an oxymoron, Miami and business sounds like opposites right? Before I left, I was able to experience a smidget of Miami life by discovering a hidden gem calledRead More

I love discovering awesome places to go and things to do in Atlanta. As much as I like to travel, having so many cool options without having to get on a plane makes you feel like all of your city taxes that come out of your check might be worth something. A few months ago, one of my good friends put me on to an amazing spot where you can make your own scented candles, CandleFish located inside of Ponce City Market.
I was browsing on Pinterest, per usual, and came across quite a few of these awesome signs that parents were using for their kid’s first day of school. Most of them were pre-made and available for purchase. However, with only a few days left before the school year started,Read More
