Don’t be fooled or intimidated by the price tag on the menu for Shrimp and Grits! It’s super easy and super quick to make.
I’ve seen quite a few alternatives for the ingredients in this. I’ve seen bacon, creamy sauces and even corn (like mine). Just think of it this way, add what you want. Everything is optional except the shrimp and grits ha!
Easy Shrimp and Grits
Servings: 3 persons
1/2 lb. shrimp
1/2 bag frozen corn
seasoning (I used Dash of Dacy's onion/garlic mix)
1/2 tbs. minced garlic
1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
1 cup shredded cheese (I used the Kroger Mexican blend)
Quick grits (1 cup)
3 tbs. butter
Cook grits (follow directions on back of container)
Once grits are cooked, add 1/2 cup shredded cheese, heavy whipping cream and 1 tbs. butter
Cook shrimp in pan with remaining butter, green onions and corn
