Fast & Fun French Toast

DIY Recipes

This is definitely my “go to” breakfast item when I want something fancier than cereal but takes less than 10 minutes to make.  I really like that you can spice up the classic french toast recipe by adding various fruit, whipped cream, or edible smiley faces.

Prep Time: 5 minutes

Cook Time: 5 minutes

Ready In: 10 minutes

What You Will Need

-Bread Slices; I prefer Kroger brand Texas Toast

-1 cup milk; I prefer 2% milk

-1 tablespoon vanilla flavoring

-2 large eggs

-1 tablespoon cinnamon

-1/2 tablespoon nutmeg

-1/2 cup packed brown sugar

-a little helper/taste-tester

-strawberries, sausage, and whipped cream are optional, but needed for fun!

Directions

In large mixing bowl, mix all ingredients.  You do not need a hand mixer, take it easy on yourself and use a fork.

Dip (do not submerge) both sides of the bread into mix, place on greased skillet. Flip over after 45 sec.- 1 minute.  Feel free to sprinkle additional cinnamon on top for intenser flavor!

And serve! It’s that easy!!

Those are yours alright! . We at least need to get these people stealing images to start blogging! They probably just did a image search and grabbed them. They look good though!
